Drop-In Anchors are internally threaded and made with an expanding cone insert for a strong and secure hold in concrete applications. The anchor body and expander plug is available in an all steel zinc material or an 18-8 stainless steel (303 SS or 304 SS) material with a selection of stocked sizes ranging from ¼-20 to ¾-10. Drop-in anchors are installed with a setting tool of a similar size. Our Drop-In Anchor Setting Tool offers a steel zinc material and is designed specifically for internal plug drop-in anchors. First, drill a hole to the required embedment depth. Next, you will insert the anchor into your pre-drilled hole and set the tool into the anchor. Once the anchor setting tool is set, drive the setting tool into the anchor until the shoulder of the tool is right up against the anchor. Lastly you will position the object to be anchored, insert and tighten down the bolt to complete the assembly.
