A thread forming screw is a trilobular thread-rolling screw with extra wide spacing between the profile head and a single lead thread that extends from the blunt point. Designed for thermoplastics, engineered resins and thermosets. Sharper thread profile increases holding strength while reducing material displacement. Drive and strip torque is higher, reducing the need for inserts or reinforcing clips. Available and ready-to-ship in a variety of sizes and finishes.
