Castle Nuts

Castle nuts are named after their medieval tower like appearance. The nut has multiple slots or notches cut into one end and resembles the top of a castle tower. The design of the castle nut allows a pin, usually a cotter pin, to fit through the open slots of the nut and through a hole in the screw or fastener to which the nut is fastened. The pin acts as an anchor preventing the nut from loosening. Available and ready-to-ship in a variety of sizes and finishes.
