Standoffs

A white nylon standoff is a threaded fastener used to hold two components together at a given distance from each other. Standoffs are usually chosen over spacers when longer sizes are required. Nylon standoffs are popular for their light weight and strength compromise. It is non-magnetic and performs well in high temperatures. Nylon is a good insulator and has a surface smoothness which will not fray the insulation of wires that rub against it. It is conductive and resists corrosion. Nylon’s other advantages include resistance to grease and oils, a low coefficient or friction, and the ability to maintain its torque strength when exposed to a wide range of temperatures. Available and ready-to-ship in a variety of sizes and styles. Browse our selection of nylon standoffs for your building projects and industrial applications

Hex:  A hexagonal, mechanical fastener which has a partial or complete internal thread, used to hold two components at a given distance from each other. Most commonly used for electrical applications. Made with engineered nylon 6/6 material with a hardness that meets Rockwell M80. Thermal properties for nylon include a melting point of 500 degrees Fahrenheit and continuous use temperature of 185 degrees.

Round: A cylindrical, mechanical fastener which has a partial or complete internal thread, used to hold two components at a given distance from each other. Designed for use in the electrical industry. Made with engineered nylon 6/6 material with a hardness that meets Rockwell M80. Thermal properties for nylon include a melting point of 500 degrees Fahrenheit and continuous use temperature of 185 degrees.
